Osvego is the Italian transposition of the term Oswego, a name given to a particular biscuit of British origin. Pietro Gentilini, the founder of Gentilini, perfected the recipe, making it appreciable for the Italian public, and distinguished it from the many other Oswegos on the market by calling it Osvego.
